4-Person Relay Race. All Relay legs start & finish at same
location near the Mopac footbridge on Stratford Road. Distance is 2.48 miles per leg of the adult race. Kids run approximately 600 meters each leg.

Course:

Start/Finish and all Exchange Zones are located at Zilker
Park. The final Course Map can be downloaded here.

Parking:
|
Race Day parking will be available at Zilker Park south of
Barton Spring Road and along the street north of Lady Bird Lake near Austin
High. Think Green! Carpool - one team, one vehicle.

Designate a Driver!!
|
Teams that designate a driver AND commit to one-car,
one-team will receive a coupon to Tacodeli in their packet for each
runner. Commitment must be signed at time of online registration. We are
using an honor code to enforce this policy.
|

Timing:
|
The event will be timed by IAAP and will use IPICO Chip Timing
System. All runners on the team will be provided with one team wrist band
to 'pass off' to the next runner / leg. Anchor Legs must wear RED race
number.

The 2011 Zilker Relays are limited to 250 teams – MAX. Once we are sold out, we will shut down registration, so get your team in early this year. Runners who have registered do not need to purchase a separate meal ticket. The price of registration includes their meal & festivities.

GORE RUNNING WEAR Community Challenge:
Any combo of men/women of any age that are employed by the same company.
Teams compete for the Corporate Cup. *$1000 registration fee: Includes a
company logo on Corporate Challenge Page of Zilker Relays Website and Event
Site Challenge Board; Complimentary runner’s jersey; VIP tent and Parking
access. Total team price of $1000. Limited to first 15 Corporate Teams.
Must be registered by August 15th, 2011. Registration CLOSED.

Training
Group Challenge presented by K-Swiss:
Time
to prove who is running fastest and training hardest. The Zilker Relays
challenges all training groups in Austin to get their game on and see who
will bring home bragging rights for 2011. The Gazelles won for multiple
years before Rogue took the title in 2009. The Gazelles regained that title
in 2010. With more and more training groups popping up in Central Texas,
we have extended the challenge to multiple divisions for 2011.
Winners
of the Training Group Challenge will all receive a pair of Kwicky Blade

Retail Challenge presented by K-Swiss
With
the continued growth of specialty retail in the Central Texas area, Cross
Fit Central will host an expanded version of the Texas Retail Challenge.
Now with two categories, the winning teams will take home bragging rights
amongst the local running and retail community. The award went to the
Texas Running Company in 2010 as their quartet won top overall honors in
46:58. Who will take home honors in 2011? Watch as teams from Austin
Tri-Cyclist, Hill Country Run Co, Jack and Adam’s, Luke’s, Rogue EQ, RunTex
and the Texas Running company duke it out for top honors at the Zilker
Relays.

1379 Sports Kid’s Relay:
This event debuted in 2010 with 20 great teams, including the children of
Austin’s own Lance Armstrong. Teams will consist of FOUR (4) children UNDER the age
of Thirteen (13) as of Sep 2, 2011. The distance per runner will be approximately 600
Meters. Awards will go to the top three in the following categories:
Under-13; 10 & Under; 7 & Under; Mini-Me Division
(under 5). Total team price $20.

Best Costume:
Enter your team to be judged on stage during our Best Costume Contest.
Enter any division, but make sure you and your crew check the box to be
judged in the best costume contest. We will have judges on the course to
gauge and vote for the top team costume of the evening. Each member of the winning team
will get a Chrome Bag.

Individual Dinner Plate & Concert Tickets
May be purchased prior to the event online for $25. Onsite ticket purchases are $40. (No Refunds) Runners who have registered do not need to purchase this ticket. The price of registration includes their meal & festivities.
